Master the craft of therapy from the inside out.

Experiential workshops, embodied training, and retreats for mental health providers who want to live and breathe the models they offer.

Clinical mastery isn't learned from a slide deck.

It’s forged by direct experience.

Most clinical trainings treat evidence-based interventions like a script to be executed on a client. You might learn a lot sitting through an interesting lecture describing a new clinical technique, only to feel stiff and inauthentic when you try to use it in a session on Monday morning.

This isn't a you problem. This is a pedagogy problem

"If a model isn't living in your own body, hands, and heart, the intervention will just feel like cold protocol."

- Steven C. Hayes, PhD

Whether it’s leaning into distress in ERP, clarifying values in ACT, or cultivating deep self-compassion in trauma-focused therapies, the most powerful work happens when you have lived and breathed the process yourself. When you know what a model feels like in your bones, your clinical intuition sharpens, your presence grounds the room, and you stop living in an intellectual headspace when applying new techniques. That's why, at the Mind Body Behavioral Institute (MBBI), we are dedicated to training through experience.

The MBBI Approach

Living the Model

We don't just talk about new clinical techniques at MBBI trainings. We practice them through real-time role-plays, process simulations, and group experiential exercises. We aim for minimal lecture and maximum engagement.

Inside-Out Self-Work

We believe that clinical excellence is inextricably entwined with personal growth. Our trainings honor that self-practice and self-reflective work is not just important for therapists; it is necessary for deeper, embodied clinical skill.

Science + Humanity

We exclusively offer trainings from an evidence-based lens, holding the belief that a scientific mindset protects our clients and helps to clear bias. We also believe that a true scientific mindset is open, humble, and curious.
