About this Training
Anger is often treated as a secondary symptom with few stand-alone treatment options available.
This leaves clinicians feeling unprepared and clients often feeling ashamed to discuss and
confront anger in therapy. Anger is a common transdiagnostic symptom that predicts worse
response to treatment and an increased likelihood of dropout for a range of disorders (Cassiello-
Robbins & Barlow, 2016). Aggression and violence perpetration resulting from anger has
